How can we help?
Search the guides, or tell us what the screen says. Every article ends with a straight answer on when to stop and call.
Steps differ between units. Pick the one in front of you and we’ll only show guides that apply to it.
The terminal is printing the wrong date on receipts
Receipts show yesterday's date, or the batch closes at the wrong time. Reset the terminal clock.
How to run a download on the terminal
A download refreshes the terminal's settings from the processor. It's the first fix for most odd behaviour.
The terminal says it can't connect
A connection error at the moment of sale is usually the network, not the terminal. Three checks in order.
The chip reader stopped reading cards
Chip inserts fail but swipes still work. Usually a dirty or worn reader slot, occasionally a card.
The batch didn't close last night
An open batch means yesterday's sales haven't been sent for funding. Here's how to close it by hand.
A card was declined in the virtual terminal
What the common decline messages mean, and which ones are worth retrying.
The showroom terminal is offline when we open
A terminal that's dead every morning is usually on a switched socket or an overnight network schedule.
Some things aren’t worth your time. Call us instead.
If you’re down and taking no cards at all, if a batch total doesn’t match your POS, or if money left a customer’s account and never reached yours — stop. Those get worse when you retry them. Pick up the phone and a person who knows your account answers.
