Joe Radest started his career in card payments over 25 years ago, working for the industry giant First Data. Since FDC, Joe has worked with other notable processors — TSYS, Global Payments and Chase Paymentech.
Over 15 years ago, Joe branched out on his own, by launching 1 Step Technologies. 1 Step Technologies was founded as an opportunity to start building websites for jewelers that the processors he had worked with in the past had no appetite for. He paired this with his property management PMS solutions to give independent owners in the jewelry and hospitality industries the processing solutions they needed.
Today 1 Step Technologies sets the bar for payment processing in the jewelry and hospitality industries. 1 Step Technologies is able to analyze your business and provide a rate that just makes sense. All of this backed by extensive knowledge of each industry.
Since that initial FinTech launch, Joe co-founded, equity investment in two other FinTech firms — Payix Holdings and FP Omni Technologies. Payix went through a successful M&A to Repay Holdings in 2021. In addition, he is the managing partner in Radest Ventures, a private equity/venture capital firm focused on investment in new FinTech firms. He serves on FinTech Atlanta’s Board as an Executive Member, as well as two other Fintech related boards. He resides in Atlanta with his family.
Dianne Telford is a graduate of Chowan College with a degree in accounting. Dianne holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate. Dianne brings over 20 years of customer service experience. She has made a career centered around helping people solve problems.
When asked about her career, Dianne says, “I enjoy working with the different types of clients within our portfolio to help them handle the business side of things so they can get back to running their respective businesses smoothly. I love the relational aspect of the role.”
Cory Radest is a graduate of the University of Alabama with a Major in Finance and a Specialization in Economics. Since he was a child, he envisioned a career in the payments space. He began his career in the payment space with a couple internships in 2017 and 2018 that transitioned into a part time role during his senior year of college.
Over the past five years, Cory has worked for two Fortune 500 payment firms in the Atlanta region: Realtime Electronic Payments (NASDAQ: RPAY) and Global Payments (NYSE: GPN). Cory is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Electronic Transaction Association Certified Payment Professional (ETA CPP), and a certified LegitScript Risk Master. He has a deep understanding of Underwriting, Risk, and Compliance in the payment space with proficiency in Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, and the various Card Brand Rules and Regulations.
Along with Cory’s appreciation for the rules, regulations, and governance in the payment space; Cory has a dedication to provide an exceptional customer experience for 1 Step Technologies clients. By staying abreast on the latest Interchange rates and Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) updates, Cory has a well-rounded commitment to helping clients in all shapes and sizes.
In his free time, he enjoys watching the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturdays and rooting for his hometown Atlanta Falcons on Sundays.
